In keeping with our tradition of creativity and trying new ideas, we thought it was time to try another fun sparkling summer beverage. Weirdo is our first ever attempt at making a piquette style wine, but we elected to do it with a bit of a twist. Weirdo makes use of fermented Muscat, Tempranillo, and Gewurztraminer to create the aromatic profile, but it also features some Tempranillo rose as well as a proprietary bitters blend. The result took about six months to assemble and was blended and finished entirely in house before bottling.  Our resulting Weirdo is a refreshing and herbaceous wine-based aperitivo, recalling both aromatic rose as well as a negroni style cocktail with a lower alcohol, and lighter touch leavened by a sparkling buoyancy. Weirdo makes for a refreshing summer drink on ice, or as an aperitif before a meal.
