The 2023 National Wine Awards of Canada wrapped up in Penticton, B.C. on June 28. In total, 23 judges from across Canada and one from California tasted 1,930 entries from 255 Canadian wineries.

Righteous Dude Riesling 2022 – GOLD Ripe pear, orange blossom and peach, lovely viscosity and bright acidity to finish. JB
UV Nedelko Vineyard 2020 – SILVER Ripe, juicy, gently raisined wine, with dusty-firm, grippy tannins and predominantly old wood influence. JS
St. Cindy Pinot Noir Unfiltered 2020 – SILVER Flavours of red currant jam, dried cherry, bramble and delicate oak spice are tangled around a spine of firm acidity and fine-grained tannins. Sd’A
JCR Pinot Noir 2021 – SILVER Delicate aromas of red cherries and bergamot mingled with baking spices shape the nose. A richness of red fruit on the palate framed by crispness and silky tannins. HC
Sauvignon Blanc Estate Grown 2022 – BRONZE Zesty and clean, with a smooth texture, and dry citrussy finish. JB
Pinot Gris Estate Grown 2022 – BRONZE A bouquet of fresh aromatics with a complex mouthfeel
