The 2017 vintage provided us with the largest crop we have ever harvested here at Rosehall Run as our new plantings of Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc reached full production.  So we took the  opportunity to take some of this fruit and blend it with some of our original Chardonnay Musqué, planted in 2002, and a dash of our Muscat Ottonel to create this charming little sliver of ‘Countyness’ for you.

 Tasting Notes

Lemony citrus and honey on the nose, on the palate it is dry and aromatic, with fresh lemon, apricot, peach and honey lingering on the palate with a clean refreshing finish.

 Food Pairing Suggestions

Great summer wine to pair with green leafy salad with fresh fruit, simply prepared BBQ seafood like BBQ prawn with lemon and sea salt or grilled scallops. Also a nice refreshing wine to pair with any pork or chicken dishes without cream sauce.

“This intriguing blend of 51% sauvignon blanc, 26% chardonnay musqué, 18% pinot gris and 5% muscat offers an aromatic nose of stone fruit, melon and citrus woven with pretty floral notes and a touch of white pepper. Hinting at off-dry, the medium-light bodied palate delivers candied lemon peel, ripe red apple, and a tropical fruit flavour through the medium-length, refreshing finish.
